The idea of Abhinav Bharat Congress took birth during the deliberations that followed a Conference held on October 2, 2017 at Hotel Taj Mahal, Mumbai, on Promoting International Peace and Prosperity, by Abhinav Bharat, supported by a grant from Tata Trusts.

The Trustees of Abhinav Bharat have decided to work towards setting up a South Asian University; eschewing  any contentious routes.

Need was therefore felt for another independent organization that would be not fight shy of taking up Public Interest Causes; even if meant taking on vested interests, rich and powerful.
